Speedster signs with Trinidad
Trinidad State Junior College Softball coach Steve Swazo is proud to announce the signing of Olivia Bartole, an infielder from Pine Creek High School out of Colorado Springs.
During her four years at Pine Creek, Bartole finished her career with a .452 batting average with 80 hits along with 55 stolen bases. Her senior year was her best, hitting .475 with 29 hits and 21 stolen bases in 23 attempts. For her outstanding performance, she was a first team selection to the 5A All-Metro team, Honorable Mention All-Area, selected to take part in the CCGS All-State Game and was the starting 2B in the 5A Metro All-Star game.
“Olivia brings a lot of speed to our team for next year,” TSJC coach Steve Swazo said. “She is an excellent slapper and bunter and can make things happen with her speed. We will work with her to also become a straight away hitter as well so she can be more of a threat at the plate. We might also see if she can play some outfield for us next year as well.”
Olivia is the daughter of Bill and Lynn Bartole.
