Trojan Volleyball signs Pomona Hitter

Trinidad State Volleyball Coach Ellen McGill recently announced the signing of Pomona High School’s Stephanie Hunnel.
Hunnel is a 5’9” Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter from the 5A Panthers in Arvada. She plays club ball for the Flatirons Volleyball Club. She has received numerous awards for Volleyball including best defense and best spirit for her team. She also made All-State for choir and was awarded the best athlete in the gym for her high school.
“Stephanie has been a nice addition for the 2010 volleyball squad,” commented Coach McGill. “She is a very well-rounded player. She has great fundamentals and plays smart. I know that she can be counted on to fill many rolls on the team for next season. We are excited to have her.”
Stephanie’s parents are Chris and Peggie Hunnel. She plans to major in Teaching with an emphasis in English.
