Trinidad State Junior College Softball Coach Steve Swazo is proud to announce the signing of Joni Davenport, an infielder/outfielder from Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado.
“We are very excited to get a player like Joni into our program,” Coach Swazo said, “Not only can she play in the infield, but also can play in the outfield and is a solid left handed hitter which is always nice to have in the line-up. She also comes from an outstanding Travel Club ball team, the Colorado Stars.”
Joni had a terrific senior season hitting .623 and recording 38 hits along with 25 RBI and 4 HR. For her accomplishments, she was named Monarch’s team captain, overall MVP, offensive MVP, 1st team 5A Front Range All- Conference, and also made the CCGSA/CHSCA All-State teams.
