Lady Trojans sign Medrano and Armstrong

Maddison Armstrong signs her letter of intent as her parents and Coach Swazo look on

Trinidad State Junior College Coach Steve Swazo is proud to announce the signing of Maddison Armstrong and Jazzy Medrano to play on the 2012-2013 Lady Trojan softball team.

 

Maddison Armstrong is an outfielder from Widefield High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During her senior season Maddison hit .440 with 33 hits, 5 HR and 24 RBI while hitting in the clean-up spot in the line-up for the Gladiators. She was a 2nd Team All-League selection.

 

“Maddison gives us some additional power that we are losing to graduation this coming year. Expect her to be a threat for the long ball next year,” Coach Swazo said. “Not only can she play in the outfield but can also play third base.”

 

Maddison is the daughter of Ray and Shannon Armstrong.

 

 

Jazzy Medrano

Jazzy Medrano is joined by her parents and Coach Steve Swazo as she signs her letter of intent to play at TSJC next season

Jazzy Medrano is a catcher from Mountain Range High School in Thornton, Colorado. She hit .327 for the Mustangs her senior season with 3 doubles and 11 RBI.

 

“We are looking forward to having Jazzy be part of the Lady Trojan Softball family,” Coach Swazo commented. “She calls a great game behind the plate and takes charge. She is going to work hard to earn a starting spot on our team.”

 

Jazzy is the daughter of Jesus and Maria Medrano.
