Trojans sign Texas Trio

Blayr Huff

Coach Steve Swazo added three more talented players to the 2012-2013 roster with the signing of three standouts from Texas, two from the Amarillo area and another from near Fort Worth.

Blayr Huff is a pitcher/first baseman from Liberty Christian High School in Keller, Texas. She is now playing her senior season. Huff was a TAPPS District Offensive Co-MVP, TAPPS first team All-District, and also a first-team All-State selection in 2011 as a junior. She has been an All-Academic selection her first three years and also played volleyball in high school.

“I really liked her work ethic when she tried out for us and believe she can help us in many areas,” Coach Swazo said. “I like the fact that she has some power as a hitter, and she has a great change-up that will keep hitters off balance. She will complement our pitching staff very well for the 2012-13 year.”

Saybra Hahmann

Saybra Hahmann is a shortstop from Randall High School out of Amarillo. During her junior season, Hahmann hit for a .504 average with 67 hits, 41 RBI’s and 6 HR. She also was a first-team 3A All-District selection. Hahmann is now finishing her senior season for the Randall Lady Raiders and is shooting for the school homerun record.

“Saybra is a player that can play either at shortstop or at second base. That is always good at this level to be able to play both positions,” Coach Swazo said. “She has good feet and a good arm and she can hit the long ball which we like here at TSJC.”

Camille Arnn

Also signing with the Trojans from Amarillo is Camille Arnn, a pitcher from Tascosa High School. She is about to start her senior season and is her squads number one pitcher. Arnn’s freshman year she was varsity newcomer of the year, her sophomore year was selected defensive player of the year, and last season was again chosen defensive player of the year and was a 2nd Team All-District selection as a pitcher.

“Camille is a pitcher that has great movement and I know she will work real hard for us,” Coach Swazo said. “When she came down for a visit, we just thought she would be a good fit with our other pitchers and we look forward to having her be part of our program.”

Camille is the daughter of Gina and Ron Fagan.
